PROCEDURE FOR COMMISSIONING A FINE ART PORTRAIT:
Fine art and portraits from your photos. of people and pets by artist Lori Baratta
I work from photos. (for subjects present or posthumous) which remain the property of my clients. All
photos. are returned after the portrait has been completed. As is the standard, the copyright on the artwork
remains my own. After I have received the photos. I then work some preliminary sketches, along with color
studies. At this stage any sketches are what is sometimes referred to as "roughs". You will then receive via
email a small file to give you a idea of how the final portrait will look. I request the standard 50% deposit to
begin and the balance to be paid at the completion of the portrait. Shipping costs are extra.
For a basic 11" x 14" prices start at:
300.00 for one subject, head & neck portrait, minimal background. Prices go up accordingly.
PRICES:
Prices vary according to the size, detail & number of subjects.
Please include as much info. as possible, in regards to what you would like included in the painting.
Standard sizes start at 11" x 14" (one subject only), 12" x 16", 16" x 20",etc.
Larger sizes are also available. I'm sorry but I will not work any smaller than an 11" x 14" size.
