What is the cost of a Portrait? Price is based on the following criteria: the number of people or pets in
the painting; how much of each subject is to be depicted; the actual size of the painting itself; the intricacy
of clothing, jewelry, etc. along with the detail and complexity of the background setting.
Call or e-mail for pricing & for custom sizes, please include as much info. as possible, in regards to what you would like included in the painting. Standard sizes start at 11" x 14" (one subject only), 12" x 16", 16" x 20",etc. Larger sizes are also available. Please note: shipping costs are additional.

How many photos. should I send? Simply send several, clear good quality photographs of the
pet(or person), to be portrayed. These will serve as reference for details, coloring & personality.Hints:
(the sharper & larger the photograph, the better the detail can be rendered).
Do you have any tips on taking good photos? Close-up photographs work the best (eg. head
and shoulder shots, showing the eyes, facial photos. where the face fills the frame, using outdoor
lighting, taking the photos. on your pets level. etc.)Please do not send any photos smaller than 4? x
6?. All photos. will be returned.
How can I protect my Photos during transit? When mailing photos. they are best protected in
between two pieces of cardboard & placed in a bubble mailer. Mark outside of envelope "Fragile,
Photos. Inside" All photos. will be returned.
Do you accept electronic files in lieu of a photo? Yes. We do accept Electronic files (jpgs are
preferred. Please contact prior to doing so for details.
How long does a Portrait take? Portraits can generally take up to 4-6 weeks, however Lori will make
every effort to meet special gift dates if they are within good reason. Please order early during the
holiday season. A standard 50% deposit is required along with the photos.
Will I see a sample of the Portrait before it is sent to me? Yes. After the portrait is completed
you will receive a reduced sample proof (via email). If the sample is acceptable to you, the balance will
then be due. After the balance has been remitted, your portrait will be shipped to you along with your
photos.
How can I place my order for a Portrait? Contact us with your requirements (see question #1,
above). after you have received your price quote for your custom portrait, please send photos. along
with payment (50% deposit) to: Lori Baratta Artworks, 307 Sawyer Hollow Road DEPT. ANMPORT.,
Summit, NY 12175 or call (518)287-1660 All payments can be made through PayPal
(CK/MO/MC/DISC/VISA/AMEX). A PayPal account is not required and is completely secure!
Do the Portraits have longevity? Yes! All portraits are rendered using top quality media & acid
free papers & matting. Finished paintings are sealed with a UV protectant to insure long lasting
quality & are accompanied with a full care sheet!
I found you through an animal shelter involved in your Donation Program. How
can they receive credit? A portion of proceeds are donated to participating animal shelters
which have originated commissions through their links, flyers, etc. If you've found this site
through an Animal Organization's link or flyer, PLEASE MENTION THE CODE OR THEIR NAME
when placing your order, to insure that they receive proper credit! Thank you.
Will I own the copyright on the Portrait? As is the standard, artists retain full
reproduction copyrights on artwork which is commissioned for personal use only, & not for
reproduction.
